Steve Scott

Steve Scott is a reformed attorney, part-time college professor, and a full time outdoor communicator who is a passionate advocate for the cause of sportsmen, both in Washington D.C., and on his award-winning television series.    
 
Recognized nationally as an advocate of hunter’s right’s, Scott is the producer and host of the award winning series, Safari Hunter’s Journal, Steve Scott’s Outdoor Guide, and Big 5:  Africa’s Dangerous Game, as well as producer of the Wild Sheep Foundations’ Hittin’ the Outdoors.    Having written for numerous magazines, periodicals, and websites in both North America and Africa, Scott’s work has appeared in Petersen’s Hunting, The Outdoor Guide, and the African Hunting Gazette, and NRA’s Hunters Rights.  He is also the Africa correspondent for The Hunting Report. 
 
For twenty years, Scott was an adjunct college professor, and has represented hunters in testimony before the United States Senate, US House of Representatives, and the Department of Transportation concerning conservation, public land use, sportsmen’s travel issues.
 
As an international hunter, Scott has traveled the world with gun in tow, but his major focus has been Africa.  Having been on nearly 100 safaris, he has taken more than 60 African species, as well as the African big 5 and dangerous 7 multiple times, including a cape buffalo with a bow.    
 
Scott has served on the board of directors of SAFARI CLUB INTERNATIONAL, was SCI’s national director of the Sportsmen Against Hunger project, and has served as chairman of the board of directors of the Professional Outdoor Media Association, and is currently director of the USA Shooting Team Foundation in Colorado Springs.
